군산의 중심부에 위치한 대지는 남북으로는 서해와 저수지가 있으며 동서로는 넓은 녹지가 분포함으로서 사이트는 주요한 성격을 가지게 된다. 중부교회는 대지가 갖는 특성과 도시적 맥락에 반응하여 저층부의 형태는 기존 대지의 형상을 닮게 된다. 또한 상층부의 대예배당은 도시의 흐름과 기존교회의 흔적을 찾는 연장축 선상에 배치되며 하늘로의 상승과 도시로의 성장을 나타낸다. 보행자는 APT와 새롭게 조성되는 주거단지 및 문화의 거리에서 개방된 커뮤니티(Community)를 설정하여 자연스런 진입을 이루며, 각각의 문을 나타내는 이미지월은 인지성과 공간의 깊이감을 부가시킨다. 도시의 길로부터 연장하여 연속적인 판으로 구성된 골고다의 언덕은 네 개의 마당을 통해 다양한 행위와 휴게를 담는 베이스로 주변 환경과 접촉하며, 느린 동선으로 하늘 예배당과 만나게 된다. 이곳은 신도를 위한 집회공간인 동시에 기존교회 및 부지로 조성된 공원으로의 극적인 조망을 갖게 된다. 하늘 예배당의 좁은 골목길을 따라 공중 브릿지를 건너 하늘을 바라보는 사각형의 절제된 침묵의 공간을 지나면 수직 동선을 통해 1층의 홀과 시작과 끝이 공존하는 순환적 동선체계를 갖는다. 외부 스킨 역시 내외부가 연속적인 판으로 구성되며 별의 음각들은 목자의 별, 밤하늘의 은하수를 가슴에 품게 된다. 평면의 조닝은 중앙부 아트리움을 경계로 좌측에는 예배 공간, 우측에는 교육공간으로 명쾌한 구성을 보이며, 대예배당의 공간 구조는 단층의 경사진 좌석으로 계획되어 단일한 내부공간의 친밀감을 더하게 된다. 내부 예배당과 아트리움으로 절제되어 들어오는 빛은 성스러움과 동시에 건축과 환경, 인간과의 소통을 이루게 한다. 글: 정림건축사사무소 제공 Location : 103-2 beonji Naun-dong, Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do, Korea Site Area : 7,869㎡ / Building Area : 3,959.4㎡ Total Floor Area : 10,801.3㎡ / Landscape Area : 2,072㎡ Bldg.Coverage Ratio : 59.3% / Gross Floor Ratio : 128% Building Scope : B1, 4F Design Period : Oct. 2007 ~ Jan. 2008 Architecture Design : IM Sung-pil Desing Team : PARK Il-kwon, Julia karla, SEO Jai-won, NO Young-woo Editor : Lee Yun-hee / Editorial Designer : Park Hyun-ji IM Sung-pil He graduated from Graduate School of KYONGGI University. LIM Jin-woo He graduated from Choongbuk National University and studied in the Graduate School of Hanyang University. Currently, he works for Jeonlim Architecture as the head of Design team and teaches students in Korea University. He is a member of Korean Medical Facilities & Welfare Academy. Severance Hospital, Busan National University Medical Center. KOGAS and Korea Ykault are his representative projects. The site located in the center of Kunsan adjoins the West Coast and a reservoir in the north and the south while it adjoins extensive greens in the east and the west. Jungbu Church responds to the topology of the site and the context of the city, and the form of the bottom part resembles the configuration of the site. The Grand Chapel on the hill which symbolizes the Ascension and extension to the city is arranged in the harmony with the church and the city. Pedestrians can access to the residential complex including the existing apartment complex and the street of the culture, and the image walls which represent the doors respectively. The Golgotha hill, stretched from the main street, is harmonized with the surroundings as a base which reflects various events and recreation and is connected to the Heaven chapel. The chapel provides the believers with a meeting point as well as a dramatic view of the church and the park. As we pass the quiet place cross the bridge in the air, along the narrow alley, we move in the cycling system which starts from the hall on the 1st floor and ends in the same hall. The external skin also consists of continual plates, and the engraving of the stars remind us of stars of a shepard or the galaxy in the night sky. The flat zoning is clearly divided by the central atrium into an worship space on the left side and education space on the right side.
